GMBC Time Trial Series
The
GMBC offers a weekly time trial series for members and
non-members who wish to participate in a competitive event. The races
are free and are conducted every Thursday evening during the summer on
roads mainly around the Chittenden County area. Courses range from
very flat to very hilly to mainly uphill (such as the Bolton Hill Climb
and Smuggler's Notch) for those mountain goats out there!
Our rules are simple: wear a helmet, be considerate of traffic when when warming up, competing, and cooling down, and do not ride two abreast at anytime, unless passing. It is very important that you adhere to these rules so we present a positive image to local residents. We need their support. The events start at 6:30pm (except where noted) and a riders leave in 1-minute intervals. Please note that riders who compete during the season in four races or more will be asked to help run one event in the year that follows. If you need further information, please contact the series coordinator, Kevin Bessett.
